EDUCATOR HALL OF FAME

NEW 2014 MEMBERS

Mrs. Wright-Sarvis

Mr. W. Richard Lundy

At the 13th. Annual Educator Hall of Fame Gala held on February 6, 2014, the Foundation inducted Mrs. Grayson Team Wright-Sarvis and Mr. W. Richard Lundy into the Educator Hall of Fame.

Mrs. Wright-Sarvis taught at B-C for 19 years, and was Chair of the Fine Arts Department. She became a legend within the B-C community and throughout the state, where she was respected as a leader, a scholar, a performer, and an educator. Both she and her students won numerous awards and honors. Her extremely high expectations for her students caused them to reach heights that seemed impossible. Community members still delight in memories of her exceptional musicals and madrigal dinners. She retired in 2007.   More

Mr. Lundy taught carpentry and coached many different sports for 30 years at B-C. He was solely responsible for establishing a first-class carpentry program at B-C. His softball teams won four state championships, and the overall record of his softball teams was 427 wins and 119 losses. Coach Lundy had great respect for and interest in each of his students and players regardless of their skill level. He always emphasized that the educational experience of his players was equally important as their athletic experience.   More
